Reaching the end
Here's a tulip before it got deadheaded this morning. Chris and I managed to evade the rain/sleet for a walk through the Blue Mill woods and round the moor. In the afternoon I delivered a birthday gift to a friend over the valley before getting back to read my book about a woman who did all the Great Walks in New Zealand. I thought it might clarify my thoughts about our trip. We don't care for walking a lot in woods/bush and a lot of walks seem to be that. Of course we are prepared to walk through bush in the process of reaching the higher ground if there are views to be had.
