Rain

A wild duck pair has now taken up residence on one of the horse fields. We almost always have a pair in the stream but seldom see them. Suspect the strong current jas driven them to the new measure.

Horrible day, it simply rained almost all  day. Late afternoon, I quickly loaded a trailer load of hedge clippings and we set off to the recycling yard, off loadng Angie and the dogs on the edge of the village to do a quick walk. Got to the yard and found it closed. I had mixed up the opening times! Tried another place but that was closed too. Picked up the walkers and headed home.

Well today was "Cold Sophie", the last of the weeks Ice Saints. The weather forecast for the coming week is not good. The ducks may well be around for a while.

PS, the poultry in the main blip are two of our chickens. The Extra photo shows the ducks!
