Schlepper Saturday

Don't check your calendars - it's not "Tractor Tuesday". Schlepper is one of the German words fot tractor. I have only used this as my main "event" of the day had to be posted on the Bee Journal.

This Schlüter Super 500 was at the next door house to the one where MrB and I picked up the old bee hive gear. The owner is in the process of building/renovating his house and the tractor is in full use carting around supplies and debris. He was not overly well spoken about the Schlüter saying it wasn't all that reliable. Schlüters are one of the now "dead" brands but absolute cult, costing inappropriately high second hand prices. I Bliped Dr Bulldogs Super 450 almost exactly a year ago with some more detail.

In the morning had driven away two trailer loads of hedge cuttings when MrB called to say we could drive over to Markt Rettenbach (10 mins away) to have a look at the used bee hives. Took the trailer and we ended up with it full and a few days of work for us both.

Spent the rest of the day burning bee frames. Bonfire with wax and honey at least smells good.
