R.I.P. Pedrita
Our beautiful, elegant, intelligent, loving and lovable Black Princess died today, mainly due to my carelessness. She must have strayed out into our mews while I was packing the car and appears to have been run over later by the neighbour's car. At least, I prefer to think it was the neighbour's than that it might have been when I was manoeuvering to drive out. Our neighbour called to give us the news as we were arriving in the hills. He was almost as upset as we were, and had made all the arrangements for her to be cremated.
It was a long day, starting at 7 a.m. and ending at around 3 a.m., after a late dinner with some highly amusing and eccentric Brazilian friends - three of the six larger-than-life characters, HH and I and one of the others the quieter audience. It helped to lift the dark cloud of our Moggie's passing for a while.
