Cholla Cactus in Light

 The Joshua Treat Retreat Center east of Los Angeles (where I spent a week recently, studying what Budhhist's refer to as "the Heavenly Messengers") is surrounded by a desert environment which supports an incredible host of creatures and plant life. Harsh, beautiful and stark. I imagine it to be remarkably different than the environment I shall be visiting in the next month as I travel to England and Wales.
