Lemon drizzle birthday cake

This is a quick and simple birthday cake I made for a friend of mine's 60th birthday. She just wanted a small lemon drizzle cake with some flowers on it. It's a new recipe I tried, so I'm hoping it will taste good...

Feeling much better now with only the annoying cough and a bit of a congestion to deal with. I believe my current anosmia is the result of an inflamation of my nasal passages caused by my flu symptoms or, at least, I hope so. I've been taking iboprufen in the hope that, if it's an inflamation, it will help. If it doesn't get any better over the next few days, I'll have to see a doctor about it...

No nutters on the bus today, which was good. Work was quietish in the morning and got rather busy in the evening. The sun was shining, but I'm not keeping my hopes high. I think it will rain at the weekend again... Let's hope the weather forecast is wrong!
