Phew! That was close.

I'm certainly not in the least bit interested in hearing that Cheatski have won the premiership and I'm only slightly more intrigued whether the train-wreck that is HSV can avoid relegation from the Bundesliga away at Mainz. 

Real fans of the funny, old game were at Sanday to watch the visit of St Ola in the Orkney parish cup. A slow start by the home team saw them go behind before all the parking spaces at the side of the pitch had filled up. They managed to take advantage of the raging hoolie that was blowing to level things before half time.

I swear that forty four and a half minutes of the second half was spent in the home half of the pitch, and only a post helped retain parity until the final whistle. This shot made hearts stop for a second, too, and judging by the reaction of their #7, he knows that he should have buried the chance.

The second leg away is now finely poised. Excitement...off....the...scale!
