Black treasure
Spent most of the day - and most of my money - on our new dog today. A visit to the Veterinary college indicated that he might have tick fever (Lyme disease - not sure which applies) or a virus - either way, he has a temperature. So back home via the pet shop and the chemist to stock up on meds.
Still having to keep him and Kayla close, but out of reach of each other. I think Kayla's scared of him, and I'm not surprised. Fingers crossed that they will become friends in time - they both love to play.
At the Vet college, the groundsmen were having a ball, picking jabuticabas - a purplish-black fruit that grows on the trunk and branches of the tree. Couldn't resist asking if I could take a shot of them - and they gave me some fruite too. It's delicious, and jabuticaba jelly is often served with turkey, instead of cranberry.
Back down to Rio this evening.
