It was C's birthday and we planned to take the cable car to the botanical gardens, but there was a few cruise ships in town and the queue was out the door. We walked around Old Funchal instead. It was really enjoyable.

After coffee and apple tart we got fish at the market and went back to the hotel for a jacuzzi & a rest, before we went out to celebrate C's birthday. We had lovely fillet steaks with a local red wine & a pleasant view.
