Cowslips

During the past few years cowslips have appeared in abundance on a local roundabout and nearby verges.They were very plentiful the first year but are diminishing. Last year it seemed to me that the verges were mown too early, before the seed had a chance to set. It would be a shame if they disappeared again.
I wonder whether anybody makes cowslip wine these days?
