My Prom Queen
Drat, it was a down tools day today! The rain stopped and the sun was trying really hard. It was impossible to concentrate on de-cluttering when all I wanted to do was garden.
However a distraction came in the shape of coffee with Pauline - who three and a half weeks after surgery number 5 was looking absolutely flipping amazing. She says she had been making the most of the recent sunshine and the glow was a delight to see.
With only a week to Prom my girl and I were chatting about make-up and 'the look' she was after. She has always been unfussy and elegant. Make-up not being either of our specialities I spent the afternoon scouring t'internet for tutorials. What a brilliant resource.
I am so glad we did this. She needed to get used to wearing more make-up than usual, she needed to try on those fantastic shoes, and she decided to change the colour of her accessories completely!
I, on the other hand, needed to get used to how incredibly elegant and lady like my little girl has become. Thank goodness I saw that today as I could have made a complete fool of myself next week!
Here she is, sat on the lavy, having just completed the make-up session. Move over Jemma Kidd, although if you could leave your make-up and brushes I would be grateful.
