The filleting of Cockenzie
The blue sea and the late evening sun show off the slow destruction of Cockenzie Power Station.
The two chimney stacks now stand together, alone. The lungs of the former power station are open to the elements and bit by bit the steel and concrete is being carried away. I suspect that once the main building is demolished the towers will fall onto or into that space?
I took this blip at the end of an early evening voluntary work shift and the wind chill was much cooler than the 10 degrees showing on the thermometer.
