A sort of sofa watching sports day today ...

The Grand National featured  one of our former pupils.

And the Boat Races - note the significances of s denoting that women have finally, quite rightly, achieved parity both in competition and international TV coverage.

My blip shows that I was multi tasking during this festival of sport with some further sorting of my souvenirs and came across this programme featuring my nephew T who is a double blue both in football and cricket. He would have been very pleased with the Oxford wins on the river this afternoon, as would his father!  

Clare Balding seems to be everywhere at the moment and I half wondered if she was going to cover Aintree and then fly to the Thames to cover the Boat Races!  I am sure she would have liked to have done both!
