What a difference a day makes ..

After yesterday's brilliant sunshine, today was wall to wall gloom with a howling gale and torrential downpours.

However, I needed to get out of the house and sat in the van in Sunk Island trying (and failing yet again) to get to grips with a crochet pattern.

I looked up and saw a little egret feeding in the river - and soon it was joined by two others (I always see them in groups of three around there - I wonder why?)

They were struggling against the wind - but because of all the windy  noises they didn't notice me opening the van window to take a few shots ..
