I do like to be beside the seaside ...

I fancied a breath of sea air so headed off to the coast. It was SO windy - and quite cool - certainly bracing!

I saw my first wheatear of the year, but quite distantly. I settled down to see if it would come closer - then noticed this little dunlin stitching away (as it's called) all around the edge of a little pond area.

His head was moving so quickly, but he moved around the perimeter very slowly indeed - it was about an hour before he got into a position that I could photograph him successfully!
