Easter Eggs

D#1 has been visiting overnight, which was lovely, and this morning we were invited to friends' June and Laurie for coffee and hot cross buns.

They have been through a tough time recently: ten days ago Laurie was rushed to hospital with a suspected heart attack and had three stents inserted, which gave them both a nasty fright. June is understandably nervous now that he's home.

Just before that episode one of their cats, Fingal, was killed on the road outside their house. June, again understandably, has taken it badly, but we still enjoyed lots of lively chat and laughter with them.

In the bathroom I noticed this pretty little bowl of eggs on the window-sill, which I thought was appropriate for my blip today. Hot cross buns and  eggs - how very Easter!
