65... and a bit of nostalgia

I heard the sheep before I saw them, and followed the bleating till I found a gathering of ewes and lambs in a field by the river. They had congregated down near a shallow burn, possibly for a drink.

As usual, while having lunch, I listened to Tony Blackburn's 'Pick of the Pops' programme on Radio 2. Today he was featuring the charts from 1962, the year I arrived in the UK, so it was very nostalgic to hear some of the hits of the day, like Chubby Checker's 'Let's Twist Again' and 'The Young Ones' by Cliff.

Two other tunes in the charts were the theme music from Dr Kildare and Z Cars. Those were the days when Richard Chamberlain was the most gorgeous hunk on television, and Brian Blessed, as PC Fancy Smith, hadn't gone all posh and 'shouty'!

I'm showing my age...but do join in if you have any memories of that year.
