Learning...

.... or rather trying to!

So I have had my camera for a bit longer now and I am still relying on the little blue light!! Or rather the 'Intelligent Auto' setting! Just as well the camera is intelligent, as I don't seem to be when it comes to its use.

I swore blind I would teach myself something new every day...hence the book in this blip! Unfortunately the book seems to assume that you know about photography when you read it, so I am finding myself reading and reading but none of it is actually going in!

As a teacher I find it a little worrying, though I tell myself that I must be a kinesthetic learner and there is no need to panic!!! I just need a different approach! An evening class I hear you shout... hands on stuff....

But oh no... instead my chosen new approach is potentially a costly one.... as I have just ordered a new lense!! My theory being that a new incentive might make me more determined to find out more about ISO, exposure etc etc which don't mean an awful lot to me at the moment. (Bit like buying a dress in a size too small and then hoping you will lose the weight by magic.... ) I have a nasty feeling this strategy may not work either.....
but you don't know until you try..... and the new lense will still work with the little blue light on.... ;-)
