Anyone can play with the right equipment....
...or alternatively, "all fingers and thumbs"
I have visualised this blip for some time now, and as I found I had a free day, I thought I'd attempt to pull it off.
The idea was to play a lead around the fourth position pentatonic scale but this turned out to be fraught with problems as it was too blurry - which is a shame as "Born under a bad sign" was progressing nicely. It got a bit buggered when it moved back to the first position and out of shot. So I busied myself with some quick single-string runs instead.
Incidentally, I have had to switch from classical/folky chordy stuff to lead guitar - and in particular have had to scrap the 3 finger picking style in favour of a plectrum. Blimey, that was difficult after all these years. What did help though, was to learn the pentatonic scale in all 5 positions and in every key. Doing this once a day has certainly sharpened things up.
Now I'm doing blues, I find the fourth position is my favourite - Albert King's as well. I must be doing something right.
There was an earlier attempt this morning that was a little bit better that this, but the guitar went out of tune - so I didn't use it.
