Going to the chapel
An interesting day out. Took the scenic way to Wakefield stopping on the way to take some pictures a beautiful half-timbered hall in Upper Hopton. Also stopped to kerb crawl a house that's for sale. Nice but not a nice location.
Then we made a detour on foot to look at the Chantry Chapel. Sadly it wasn't open. It seems it's only open once a month for a service. I might need to dig deep and find some religious roots.
Then the main event which was a Print Fair at the Hepworth Gallery. Or more accurately the Calder Works behind the gallery. There was lots of really appealing work and we came away with 3 prints for our own and 1 for a present. One is yet to be paid for, hip hip hooray Janis Goodman for being so trusting.
And finally we did a proper shop for the first time in 3 weeks in Dewsbury on the way home. Only worth mentioning because we bumped into a lovely person who was one of my volunteers when I worked for Leeds CAB over 25 years ago before I did my law degree. It was an extremely random meeting as she doesn't live in Dewsbury and in theory we would never be grocery shopping on a Sunday afternoon.
I've now had a splendid extended weekend and work tomorrow holds little appeal.
