I have probably posted photos of this flower before, but oh, well! It is one of my Mexican favorites and this is its season.
Technically it's a Pseudobombax ellipticum . aka Shaving Brush Tree or Brocha de Afeitar.

It also appears in white, and I saw (and photographed!) my first white one a few days ago. But for this flower, pink is best!
