A gig thing. Another one. A slightly higher calibre than yesterday's too, although I'm well aware that this band isn't everyone's cup of tea. But, for the rest of us...

A cracking Friday night gig 25 years ago today at Sheffield Polytechnic (even better than  The Close Lobsters gig I'd attended at the university exactly one year previously if you can believe that). One of the best I've ever seen the band over the years I reckon as well, a cracking performance and setlist to match. Needless to say, as was so often the case back in those days, the friends I went with thought they were terrible and spent the majority of the gig smoking at the back of the hall.
