Well
It's another one of them 25th gig anniversary things today. Hold tight...this is the band you've been waiting for! Sheffield Polytechnic on Thursday nights in 1990 - indie band, disco and a late bar for a quid, I was there most weeks. And one band played more than once and they were pretty entertaining each time even if, with hindsight, very ordinary indeed musically. Lead singer Jas Mann of course went on to earn a huge wad of cash as Babylon Zoo with his chart-topping 'Spaceman' single although this 'Brass Eye' clip where he's rather brilliantly introduced as "the chungwit, the biff boff and the puff pastry hangman' is perhaps his unwittingly finest moment.

All's Well With The World
[And today is also the anniversary, that important 22nd, of seeing one of my all-time favourite bands, The Auteurs, in the Maze Bar at Sheffield University in 1993. I loved 'em, my pal thought they were rubbish. I'm sure that's just the way Luke Haines would have wanted it.]
