Choices

Well it was birthday today, so I couldn’t resist a visit to West Quay shopping mall in Southampton.
I had the privilege of a M&S voucher so I felt I needed to make sure I made use of it before the time limit expired. I had already made the choice online for a new pair of trousers, so it was a matter of click and collect.  Not the first time I’ve used this technique for shopping, but it seems to work spot on.
Bought some electrical goodies this way last week from a different store, and like the trousers it arrived next day, without problem.
Can’t say that I would want to buy everything this way, because in a sense I still enjoy the chance to nose round the shop, any shop, to see what’s on offer at the time.  And there is nothing like being able to feel and inspect the goods at first hand.
So, today I had promised myself a big bowl of moules mariniere, cooked in  cream, garlic and parsley, with a large baguette for lunch. Oh yes, and a modest glass of wine.
Then on to collect the trousers.
And just because it was birthday, I fancied an ice cream, so another stop off on the way home to indulge my third birthday treat of the day.
I could well have spent more time at the shopping mall. But purposely limited my visit to picking up the trousers… then a quick visit to the Apple shop. Always tempted to linger there to inspect and handle the  latest iPhone,  iMac, MacBook and iPad

Well, it was my birthday!
