Ponderings
Jason has been working in Jacksonville, which is about one hour from our house. Some days he is not getting home until right before Cole goes to bed, and he leaves shortly after Cole awakes in the morning, so they have not gotten to spend much time together during the week. Cole gets a huge smile on his face when he sees Jason at the end of the day. What a greeting! I took this picture yesterday when Jason got home. I look at this image and have to pinch myself that our family now includes this precious little boy. He makes our lives so much richer and joyful, in so many ways.
We have been experiencing summer-like temperatures the past few days, so that means a lot of outdoor time. I've found that I can garden for about 20 minutes while Cole rolls around on a blanket. You can get a lot done in 20 minutes when you know that's all the time you have! We planted spinach and swiss chard seeds outdoors today, and my nephew Zander came over and helped me start tomato, kale, lettuce, pepper, dill, and parsley seeds which we'll put under grow lights once they sprout.
