A Day With Debbi

I met up with Florida New Jersey Debbi this morning. (She and her husband Willie are moving back to Jersey in 3 weeks.) She was hoping to see a couple of new birds at a place called the Celery Fields, but we didn't see much.

I pulled in a couple of minutes late, and Debbi was talking to two young men. Come to find out, they were football players from Florida A & M, and were running up a l-o-n-g hill. Debbi said..."Here Tim, hold my camera...I'm running up!" The reason she is not in the Flickr shot was because she spotted them a head start...and...SHE STILL BEAT THEM TO THE TOP!!! What an amazing woman.

We ended up seeing a few birds around my place, until she had to go home to take care of some camera stuff. Always a fun day hanging around with the bird woman.

She did miss a pretty sunset. In the middle of shooting it, I had a "talk" with one of the fishermen. "How come you take pictures, man? "I just like to." "Well buddy, I don't have a smart phone, or a camera." "Then, how are you going to remember things?" He pointed to his temple, and said..."It's all right here Mister...I don't need no #$%&ing camera. I see birds and animals...I see nature...I SEE GOD...right here on this boat. That's how it works Mister."

Well said...I guess.
