Skipton

On our way home we spent an hour or so in Skipton, wandering round the market and admiring the narrow boats on the Leeds-Liverpool canal. This is Britain’s longest canal at 127 miles, and was originally used for transporting coal, stone, cloth and other cargo after its completion in 1816.
