high tide

A gentle day, to recover from a busy week and the last 5% of my cold.

I went over to the harbour at high tide, as the highest tides for 20 years were predicted. Sure enough, I've never seen the water so high. Fortunately it was very calm or some of the boats might have been in trouble - if the mooring line is too short the bow can be pulled under (followed by...).

The light was lovely too. For anyone not used to my Dysart Blips, that's Edinburgh (Arthur's Seat and the Pentland Hills) on the other side of the water.
