I let H play truant from nursery today! Some friends had organised a visit to a Chatelheraut park instead of the usual toddler group they go to, so since the weather was lovely, I didn't want H to miss out (and it meant I could go for a chat too). When we were there on Sunday, she loved playing in the sand, so today we took her bucket and spade with us and it was definitely a good idea.

In the afternoon, we had to and collect hubby from his work and take him to collect his car from the garage - we are now £375 poorer :-( As I had promised H she could have her paddling pool out, even though it was 6pm, we blew and filled up the paddling pool and let her splash around before dinner. Luckily it was still very hot at that time of night. It actually said 33 degrees on my car thermometer at one point today!!

My dad was undergoing heart surgery today so hoping everything went well and we can visit him soon.
