Big Totara

This 1000 year old tree is 31m high and more than 8m around and a real beauty. Had a good day and managed to explore some of the shorter walks around the forest before driving home. All up, I walked for about 3 hours with breaks (possibly a bit much as I slept all the way home and needed an early night). I particularly enjoyed our picnic lunch in a very scenic bush clearing, sitting in my chair, relaxing, taking it all in.
