Peel Forest

Finally made it away to the bush, even if it was just for one night. We tried out our new mattress (very comfortable) and picnic table (very practical) and enjoyed the bush and the birds. Peel Forest is made up of beautiful mixed podocarp forest with many of my favourite trees (totara, matai, kahikatea, miro, tarata, kowhai, mahoe....). The birds love it and there were lots of bell birds and fantails frolicking near our tent.

Not so easy to manage the nausea and vomiting, especially for Adrian who generally does the cleaning up, but worth it nonetheless.
