A blue and white day

Here the snow has gone but less than 10 miles away there are huge areas of countryside swathed in snow with remnants of deep snowdrifts beside the snow and sometimes thick ice across the road.   The large Gladhouse Reservoir is still covered in ice and it would have been a great day to walk around it but we hadn’t the time or suitable footwear.  Maybe soon.
I tried to show the contrast of the dirty looking sheep with the white snow glistening in the sun under the lovely blue sky but unfortunately none of my photos do justice to the light.
