Life by the river

Most of our time was spent browsing the alleyways of the old town, based around this river, where small barges would meander up and down taking the many motorcyclists across to the island, or taking fee-paying tourists for 'pleasure-cruises'. We preferred to stay in the cool of the cafe balcony, dining on chocolate tarts and watching everyone strolling by.
