Goldfinch in the lavender
Went to a chaotic body pump class first thing. Two lads seemed determined to turn it into a power lifting class and grunted and groaned their way through the exercises, chatting away to each other and giving themselves admiring glances in the studio mirrors. I wasn't impressed with them.
Did some ironing and spotted this goldfinch in the lavender close to the house. I leave the seed heads on the lavender so that they are a food source for the birds and a hiding place for insects. It was lovely to watch and try and take some photos through the dining room window.
As son number two was home for a few days, we had a board game session after lunch. We then threw all his stuff together and dropped him back to Uni complete with clean bedding and clothes and a few bits of food to keep him going for the beginning of the week.
