Sunset at Ipswich Station

Went into the town centre early in the morning to take mum to the solicitor and to have some breakfast. My sister and I had a chance to catch up and to a bit of shopping while mum was involved in paperwork. 

We got changed, emptied the hotel rooms and set off for the crematorium. It was a beautiful bright day and the bird song was loud as we waited for the other mourners. Another colleague and her daughter arrived and so the old guard were better represented in the chapel. 

The service was short but OK and we said goodbye to a friend of many years. We went for a meal in a local pub afterwards with her extended family. 

This was the sky as I waited at Ipswich station to catch my train home.
