Meet the Morgans

By familymorgan

Chris got up with the munchkins this morning and I caught up with last night's Casualty (yes I'm sad like that) on iplayer on my phone in bed. It may only have been 6.51am but I am completely unable to go back to sleep when I have woken up.

I got ready for a run as soon as it was finished and decided to do a quick pre-breakfast 5km. I pushed for a 30 min 5k but only made 32 min! I blame the wind in the face on the way back....ahem. Home for a lovely warm shower and porridge with blueberries. Amelie and Isaac had already had breakfast but they are porridge fiends so joined me for some too.

B from next door came to play. She was in her Elsa dress so Amelie got hers on too. Then they went upstairs to raid the dressing up box and ended up as Elsa and Anna. They did a particularly excellent reenactment and B stayed for lunch.

In the afternoon we went back to the woods, with wellies this time. Amelie ran ahead exploring and Isaac trailed behind always hoping he could sneak off in the opposite direction and we wouldnt notice... At one point he shouted bye and walked off, not even looking back!

When we got home I cleared out the shed and inspected the damage the mouse(or mice?!) have done. We have found a few droppings and a few nibbled bits here and there. Little pest!!

Haggis, neeps and tatties for tea! Chris made it. Something slightly wrong with the welshman prepping the burns supper but nevermind! Isaac had pasta with creamy mushroom sauce and Amelie had pasta. They both tried, and liked, the haggis. YES!

Amelie and Isaac were both exhausted tonight, Isaac was asleep within 5 minutes of getting his jammies on. Amelie read her book nicely and went up to bed with her new hot water bottle (an old one I found which is a perfect size for her!)

Could really have been doing with an extra day this weekend!!!
