back-blip

A great day with family and friends to celebrate Chris' 30th. We went out for a meal at an Italian in Horley. The waiter, who insisted on calling Isaac - Isaaco, was rather horrified when I told him Isaaco would be eating his pasta with his hands and by himself! Once he was stuck in, (ie up to his elbows in sauce) the waiter ran over with hundreds of napkins! Another hilarious moment was Isaac munching on a lemon.

Anyway we had a nice meal then walked back here for some drinks and cake. The chocolate cake Amelie and I had made was very lovely and moist and everybody loved the "mini Chris" photo on top. I had got a company to print a picture of a 4 year old Chris (complete with dicky bow) to top the cake with.

Eventually most of us headed out for a few drinks leaving Granny and Nana with Amelie, Isaac, Kaydi and Freya.

When Emma, Laura and I headed back at about 10.30, the girls had only just fallen asleep and Isaac was wide awake! He proceeded to spend the next few hours on a rampage, crawling everywhere and reading lots of books.

I took him to bed after 1am and settled him down.

A long but lovely day!
