Day 6

More of cloudy day today with some rain which afforded a good opportunity for more shopping and a strong coffee to clear the slightly muzzy head! On a brief respite we went for a walk to the nearby lagoon which is very pretty and even saw an hour of sunshine. It didn't last long tho and the highlight of the day was the most spectacular thunderstorm on the night. The road turned into a river within minutes and the electricity supply kept shorting out. The bars consequently were packed and great cheers went up each time there was a clap of thunder and a fork of lightning streaked over the mountainous backdrop. As it was set in for the night there was nothing for it but to take off our shoes, roll up our trouser bottoms and hotleg it back to the room barefoot in fits of laughter.
