Nature reserve

Back home after a lovely couple of days celebrating my birthday. Decided to have a quick wander round Elmdon park as it's been a couple of weeks since i was last there. The coot ducklings are growing fast and the geese were as inquisitive as ever. No sign of the heron though.I love the fact that the park is being looked after so well and this pond has been created and promoted as a nature reserve. As much as i love the birdlife nesting there i still can't resist the less busy moments where tranquility seems to descend and the mind is stilled. I need to hold that thought as i prepare for two 12 hour shifts back to back. Never mind, i'm flying to Thassos ( a greek island) for a week with my sister at the weekend. Roll on the sunshine, beaches and greek salad! :-)
