You're truly truly scrumptious.

Cooked a meal from what we had in the fridge and cupboard - so here is Haloumi fritter made with rosemary and panko breadcrumbs, accompanied by a mash of potatoes and sweet potatoes with butter salt and pepper, oven roasted carrots and purple sprouting broccoli.

It was, I have to say, awesome.

All deadlines met at work, against the odds. Not sure if our Employee Of The Year appreciated me singing "fings ain't what they used to be" with Max Bygraves hand movements in reception. Well it was her fault for mentioning frothy coffee. The colleague I bought a gin and tonic for was more amenable.

TSM did her bit for the Isle of Wight Tourist Board, a huge crack appeared in our car windscreen, the sun shone and the temperatures rose throughout the afternoon.

It was a slightly eccentric day but none the worse for that. Now for some chocolate cake ...
