As the sun is setting.....

on another bleak day in Malawi!  So many people are homeless in the central and south and so many people still unaccounted for!  UN have set up some camps for displaced people and many other NGO's are assisting with relief efforts!  I feel very sad for friends who are in such dire need.

I had an okay day - did some chores, went out into town and then came home to find electricity has gone out again!  Our electricity comes from a hydropower plant on the shire river and due to the flooding and heavy rains some parts have been blocked by silt which is why the whole country is experiencing power outages!   And in Mzuzu when the power is out we have no water as it is pumped using electricity!!   I shouldn't complain - I have a house to stay in and its dry!!
