Carrying my brother......

Looking at this photo, you would not think there was any flooding in Malawi!  But right now as I am writing this there is torrential rain outside and I took this a couple of hours ago when I was out walking.  However, here in the north we have had little rain, or rather 'normal' rain for the time of year.

Thank you for all your kind messages for the people of Malawi.  Today I hear that more camps have been set up.  I saw a story of a head teacher whose house was literally washed away and him and his son managed to climb a tree.  His wife and his other child climbed a jacaranda tree nearby.  Unfortunately the jacaranda tree was washed away in the current and the wife and child are presumed dead.  So many sad stories like that, but the NGO's and UN personnel are doing their best to assist the needy.  

We just hope the rain stops soon!

But it was exciting today - we had electricity for some time!!!
