Renovation Madrid style

After a lazy start, we decided to use the "hop on, hop off" bus to see a bit of Madrid.

The weather is rather better than last night.

Initially we hopped off at Piaza del Neptuno and had a nice wander in the sun.  Then we hopped back on again, and had a rather cold ride on the open topped bus to Puerto del Sol.  

I took the obligatory picture of Oso y Madrono but was fascinated by these building works - the facade is obviously worth preserving, but presumably nothing behind it was particularly special.

We then walked back to the hotel, via a number of small streets, and are currently having a siesta, prior to going out for tapas later.
