Puerta de Toledo

Back blipping.  I was too tired, and too annoyed with my computer, which was on a go slow, to blip last night.

We are in Madrid for a long weekend.  We booked this several months ago, before the trip to Germany was even contemplated.  If we had known in advance, we might not have booked it for quite so soon after - it has all felt a bit rushed.

We left Luton in lovely sunny weather, and arrived in Madrid in the rain - oh dear.  But I have to say, today (Friday) is much better. 

We are staying in the Hotel Puerta de Toledo - our room on the 5th floor looks out onto the arch.  There are some lovely mature plane trees (reaching up to this floor) between us and it.
