COME!
Took Archie into Holyrood Park this morning, as we're out all afternoon, so he needed a good run around. Jings it was freezing! He met a few dogs and had a good chase around with a Labrador, and for the first time ever, Archie was in the lead! But our game of 'COME!' was the main activity. He kept it up for ages. JR was away down the hill, and he went between us for ages. This is him, charging back down the hill, JR in the distance, flapping her arms to summon him. Though actually, he just turns and runs back anyway. Good fun!
He was sooooo muddy, but he's had a rinse off - proper bath tomorrow.
We're off to the afternoon movies - the Theory of Everything, and then we're popping in to the neighbours for Festive drinks, which didn't happen in the Festive Season due to one thing and another.
I'm in touch with a dog trainer, and he will need private lessons. (A personal butler, and now a personal dog trainer!) I didn't take him to puppy training classes, as we seemed to be managing fine. But now, his over-excitement and general unacceptable behaviour when he's on the lead and sees another dog, has become a problem. Everyone said it was a 'puppy thing' and he'd grow out of it. Well, he hasn't. But if I'd taken him when he was a wee lad, it would never have happened...
I'll know next time...
