Never too old to play
According to the cat age calculator, Pedrita is the equivalent of 77 human years old, but today she skittered about the sitting room like a kitten, chasing a rattling seed pod. I had no time at first to select a fast shutter speed, and her eyes aren't visible in later shots. The other, younger cat looked on in disdain.
Sweltering heat had me on go-slow today - it's still dripping hot at 10 pm - packing away the Christmas decorations, spread over the dining table since Twelfth Night, at tortoise speed. Filthy hands then led me to conclude that the large artificial tree we bought from a departing American friend some 20 years ago was overdue for a wash. So it was duly sluiced down and reassembled to drip dry, ready for packing away in a trunk till next year - but that can wait till tomorrow.
Didn't manage much else today, except a crawl round the shops to get a new mouse (not for the cat). It was so much cooler in the road, with a bit of a breeze, that I thought of another few things we needed and extended my tour. Then came home and fell onto the bed in a stupor for nearly two hours. Supper has been served late this evening.
