Gently down the stream

Old Man's Beard

This plant, Clematis Vitalba, (called Traveller's Joy in summer and Old Man's Beard in winter) really for me defines the time of year.  It's everywhere in the hedgerows of Hampshire, scrambling over any shrubs it can get it tendrils on and shining in the sun like snow.

So as you can see, we actually had a bit of sun today.  It was foul this morning and the guy who's  coming to fix my gutter had to cancel because it was too wet (yes, I know it was too wet, that's why I needed my gutter fixing).  But this afternoon is just glorious.

In addition, all my Xmas decs are down now (substitute activity for this morning).  Are yours?  I always find it a bit sad putting them away, but on the other hand it's nice to be moving on.

Have a good evening xx
