We had a gentle morning this morning. A couple of little jobs but mainly pottering on our own at home. We packed the car midafternoon before we went to our neighbours for a cuppa. We then all went to the birthday party for another neighbour/Katie's class mate. She had a great time charging round with her school friends. As soon as we got back, Grandad and Granny were waiting for us. Katie got changed into jammies, we got her settled and we set off to drive to Kettering, to stay the night before a visit to my grandad. Katie fell asleep on the way about 7pm. She slept the rest of the journey, a couple of hours. I expected to be able to just put her to bed. She had other plans. She found the hotel all to exciting! She enjoyed exploring their room then exploring our room and eventually snuggling down in our big, bouncy bed. It took her a while to head off to sleep though!
