New Shoes, New Shoes

I watched Lost in Translation for the first time recently, and enjoyed the moment when Scarlett Johannsen's character says something along the lines of, 'every girl goes through a photography stage, you know, photographing her feet and stuff'. This is my homage to that!

I picked these shoes up during my little session on Tuesday.

I realised early this morning that my horrible meeting was not today but is tomorrow.

Betsy finished her Sats today. She's not exactly loved it but she is such a star, she just gets in with it all. The teachers have put them under a huge amount of pressure. I've been hearing about children going home in tears, crying before school, even breaking down in class as the teacher goes through the test paper afterwards and they realise how many they've got wrong. (Why do they do that?)

Before each test they have been giving the children Ribena and biscuits, presumably to give them a sugar rush! Betsy said to me yesterday, 'I bet they will give us Jammy Dodgers or Bourbon biscuits tomorrow'. I asked her why, and she said, 'because we haven't had them yet and they are cheap', which really made me laugh and I thought was probably true.
