South Shields beach

We went for a walk along the beach in South Shields and I took some photographs of the Herd Groyne lighthouse. This photograph was as the sun was setting and the North side of the Tyne was bathed in the final glow of sunshine, whilst the south side was becoming dusky. The horizon was glowing magenta and the south and north pier lighthouses were just turning their lights on. The sky was clear and blue but it was bitterly cold at only 1 degree.
We went to visit my nanna to warm up over a coffee then went to Colmans on Ocean Road for the best fish and chips in the world.
